 Helping Families Find Child Care

Selecting child care is one of the most important decisions you will ever make.

Our Child Care Referral Staff provides referrals to child care programs that have been licensed or registered with the State of Vermont as well as after-school enrichment programs and summer camps.

With up-to-date information on child care providers and programs in southern Windsor and northern Windham Counties, we give you the basics you'll need to begin your search. We'll answer all your questions, find the programs that match your needs by age and schedule and we'll guide you through the process of investigating your options of transitioning to a new child care setting.

Many parents also rely on the informal care given by a family member or neighbor. We can provide advice and support to make these arrangements work well.

Child Care Referral is a service that assists families with their search for quality, affordable child care.

The right child care program can be hard to find. We're here to help until you've found the program that's right for you.

Referrals are not recommendations. We will be happy to give you information about how to recognize quality care that will meet your family needs.

The service is funded by Child Development Division of the Agency of Human Services and public fees.

Resource and Referral Consultants adhere to Professional Service Standards developed by the Vermont Association of Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies and welcome calls from people seeking help finding child care or concerned with the quality of child care they have experienced.
