Child Care Tuition Assistance is available to families within certain income guidelines and is based on a sliding scale of eligibility. View the State Income Eligibility Scale

Eligibility: In order to be eligible for the child care subsidy program. families must have an established service need and meet income guidelines.

Service needs include:

Employment: Employment is defined as any activity for which a primary caretaker receives compensation of at least minimum wage. Two current consecutive pay stubs are required. Click here for an Employment Verification form, if you have just begun working at a new job and have not received two pay checks.

Self-Employment: Self-employment is any business activity approved that nets a monthly income of at least $100.

Training or Education: Training is any activity that is likely to lead to employment within one year of completion of the activity, Reach-Up activities are included. Volunteer work and Post-Baccalaureate education are not eligible activities.

Seeking Employment: Seeking employment is any activity recognized as necessary to obtain employment. This is limited to 30 half days or 15 full days per 12 month period.

Special Health Needs: If you are medically incapacitated, a Special Health Needs form may be completed by an MD, Nurse Practitioner (NP), Physician's Assistant (PA) or state licensed psychologist.

Family Support: A prevention and early intervention service, Family Support Child Care is designed to reduce stress for families and their children to promote positive child development. The child care subsidy may be authorized after a confidential application and risk assessment have been completed and reviewed.

 

Providers: In order to care for children eligible for a child care subsidy, child care providers must be licensed day care centers, registered family day care homes, or approved legally exempt care givers. Quality Incentive Bonus: The Quality Incentive Bonus is offered to licensed child care programs who have obtained a national accreditation and registered providers who have their CDA credential or have obtained national accreditation and who serve children eligible for the child care subsidy program.
