Employment Opportunities We need a creative, caring teacher with a love of infants, toddlers and preschoolers at the Learning Partners Child Center in Springfield. To provide children and parents with a safe, nurturing and developmentally appropriate environment that enhances self-concept, encourages independence and respects individuality. Program has a strong play-based philosophy, knowing that children learn best through play. To work as a member of a team within the parent child center to implement activities to build the physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development of children ages 6 weeks to 6 years. To provide adult and child education which promotes positive parent/child interactions and relationships. Successful candidates will serve as a role model to parents and volunteers in the program. Requirements: - Minimum of a CDA or Associates degree in Early Childhood Education, or human/child development or related field; Bachelors preferrred - Two (2) years of successful experience with groups of young children and with parents. - First Aid training and Infant/Child CPR. - Knowledge and understanding of family-centered, prevention-based practice.
